The Resident Menu Selection Form allows two options to pre populate Resident meal choices. They are Default Choices and Last Choices.
Default Choices
Default choices adds the first choice in the menu all residents for the entire week. This function can only be used for one week at a time.
If a resident is on a texture modified diet or has an allergy to the first choice, then the next available diet appropriate recipe will be chosen.
*Note: when using default choice only the 1st vegetable is able to be selected in the form. The status column will remain as N = Not complete until a user updates this.
Example of order form once Default Choices is used:
Last Choices
Last choices adds the last cycle choice for each meal service (E.g. if the menu is a 4 week cycle, the previous 4 weeks order data will be applied). This includes:
- Multiple meals
- General comments made on a meal service
- Any previously added substitute recipes and their comments
- Any previously added substitute ingredients and ingredient comments
- The order status (if the order was previously completed, on hold or not completed).
This feature does not bring back any previous meal overrides, so if a meal block has been overridden in the past, it will need to be done again in the form (if applicable).
If a resident has had any of the following changed then the last meal choices will not be populated:
- Food Texture (Other or Protein)
- Allergies/Dietary Restrictions
- Special Diets
Note: before using the Last Choices feature residents must have had one menu cycle of orders added in manually. So if the menu is a 4 week cycle, 4 weeks of orders must be placed before being able to add the last choices.

Clear Choices
The Clear Choices function removes any choices made for an entire week.
