• A cloned Recipe is a copy of an existing recipe.
  • The new cloned recipe can be edited to add additional information added (such as new ingredients, description or preparation process).
  • Cloning is a great way of customising recipes to suit your specific site and cooking methods.


IMPORTANT NOTE: If you have a Head Office functionality in SoupedUp and Templates and Master Menus are built via your Head Office, then Recipes should always be added/cloned via Head Office and not via site, to ensure availaiblity of Recipes across all your sites.


Accessing Recipe Management

  • Select Catering from the side navigation pane
  • Click on Kitchen
  • Select Recipes


To locate and Clone Recipes

  • Search for the Recipe using the filter and / or sort options and click on Go


  • Click on the Clone icon in the Actions column for your chosen recipe:
  • Change the Recipe Title, along with any other information on the first page such as Image or Description:
  • Click Next.
  • Change any information on the second page, such as Ingredients or Preparation Process (method).
  • Click Save.
  • The cloned recipe will now appear in the list of recipes under Recipe Management.


Visibility 

To change the Visibility of a cloned recipe, click on the green (Visible) button in the Actions column to change it to red (Invisible).



Edit a Cloned Recipe

A cloned recipe can be edited by clicking on the Edit button (pencil and paper icon) in its Actions column. When in Edit Recipe, make any changes as needed and click Save. 



Status and Delete

  • A cloned recipe must be made Inactive before it can be deleted.
  • To change the Status of this Cloned recipe, click on the status button to change it from green (Active) to red (Inactive).
  • Once the cloned recipe is made Inactive, the red Delete button will appear.
  • If you are sure you want to delete this recipe, click once on the Delete button.
  • The recipe is permanently deleted.
