To make your data safe and more secure, we have made some changes to the way you currently access SoupedUp.

From June 2023, all users will have access via a Single User Session. This means each user must have unique credentials (email and password) to access SoupedUp software.

A message will notify you if your account is already in use or logged in elsewhere.

Points to consider

  • A single browser can have multiple tabs or windows open at the same time with no issues when working within a single site. If you have access to more than one site, this may affect the session.
  • Users will be redirected to the login page if they are trying to access an area of the application and their session has expired. This session is set to expire after 20 minutes.
  • If a user is relocating to another device while a session is still active, a pop-up window prompt will contain a message asking the user whether they want to continue with a new session or retain their session on the other device.

Why is this change happening?

With sensitive, personal resident information in a cyber hacking era, data security is more important than ever.

By enabling individual logins it’s harder for credentials to be compromised. All actions made by a user in the software are date, time and user stamped appropriately, ensuring transparency across your organisation.

Single user sessions also make it easy to see if someone is using your account, alerting you instantly.

Next steps

If you already have users set up individually, no changes are required.

If your organisation is using shared login details for multiple people, administrators will need to set-up individual logins for each user.
