Course Settings are used to control the following in menu templates:

  • Meal Services offered - e.g. Breakfast, Morning Tea, Lunch, Afternoon Tea, Dinner and Supper.
  • Menu Courses - e.g Soup, Entree, Main, Dessert, Snacks, Supplements.
  • Menu Choices available for the menu courses - e.g Lunch Main Meal may have 4 choices, including one salad choice and one sandwich choice.
  • Textures i.e LQ3, MM5, PU4, RG7, EC7, SB6.


To set up your Course Settings, follow these steps:

  1. Select Catering from the side nav bar.
  2. Click on Menus.
  3. Select Template Structure then Course Settings.
  4. Click the + Add New Course Setting button in the top right hand corner of the screen:
  5. Under the Course Setting Detail heading enter a Course Setting Name and Select a Facility for this Course Setting. If you are linked to more than one facility, use the 'Select a Facility' drop down menu to tick which sites this Course Setting applies to:

  6. Select the Meal Services, Menu Courses, Menu Choices and Textures to include in this Course Setting, by clicking on the dropdown arrow under each heading, then ticking the checkbox against items you wish to include.
  7. Don't forget to click Save.
