Special Diets provide the opportunity to enter individual diet type preferences for a Resident. Special Diets can be included in various reports such as Meal Order Forms, Drinks Lists and Tray Tags.
The Special Diets field is found on the Dietary Information tab of a Resident's profile.
In addition, there are three Special Diets that affect Order Forms. These are shown in red, and listed below:
- C-Coeliac - this special diet will restrict any recipes with ingredients that contain Gluten (in wheat, oats, rye and barley) as an allergen.
- DF-Dairy Free - this special diet will restrict any recipes with ingredients that contain Animal milk as an allergen.
- GF-Gluten Free - this special diet will restrict any recipes with ingredients that contain Gluten (in wheat, oats, rye and barley) as an allergen.

H – Halal
HI - High Iron
HP – High Protein
K – Kosher
LC – Low Cholesterol
LF – Low Fibre
LFR – Lactose Free
LFT – Low Fat
LGI - Low GI
LOV - Lacto Ovo Vegetarian
LP – Low Potassium
LS – Low Salt
LV - Lacto Vegetarian
MM - Minced Moist
NA – No Acid
NFT – No Fat
NMC – No Mixed Consistency
PAL – Palliative Care
PEG – PEG Feed
PV - Pescatarian
REG - Regular
VV – Vegan
WRD – Weight Reduction Diet
